If the Emmys 2015 were looking to set even more records, mission accomplished: with a montage that was meant as a tribute slash good-bye to TV shows that ended in 2015, it became the first ceremony to include several major spoilers per minute.

The 67th annual prime-time television awards, held in Los Angeles and airing live on Fox, set a new record for the first African-American actress to win Best Actress (Viola Davis for “How to Get Away with Murder”).

The gala also made Uzo Aduba the second actor to win an award in Comedy and Drama with the same role, in separate years, thanks to the Neflix hit series “Orange Is the New Black.”

While these are proud accomplishments, that of being the most spoilery awards gala in the world isn’t.

In Memoriam segment for shows ruins every TV show out there

Many fans are still reeling from the shock of seeing how their favorite TV series, which they didn’t yet get to see till the end, wrap up. That’s because Emmy producers thought it would be a great idea if they paid homage to series that ended this year by creating a montage that would include the final seconds from each show.

In other words, if there was a show that ended in 2015 and it included a surprise twist (be it a character’s death or something else), it was shown at the Emmys 2015. The worst part of it all was that the awards gala didn’t include a spoiler warning before airing the clip.

Speaking of which, you can see it in full below. Needless to say, if you’re a binge-watcher yourself and still have some catching up to do with shows ending in 2015, you might want to steer clear of it: *it includes major spoilers.*

Shows that got spoiled at the Emmys 2015 include “Sons of Anarchy,” “Parenthood,” “Mad Men,” “True Blood,” “Nurse Jackie,” “Boardwalk Empire” and “Two and a Half Men.”

The Internet is outraged, definitely not amused

Several trade publications note that the tribute segment played out like some kind of huge practical joke, which, considering the type of content it included, is actually a very fitting comparison.

Even before the segment was over, negative comments about it were popping up on Twitter. As of the time of writing, it’s safe to say that the entire Internet is outraged. Those who are not outraged are adding their voices to the conversation by cracking jokes on the topic, but they’re far less in number than upset fans.

Perhaps anticipating the backlash on social media, host Andy Samberg came back on stage after the segment aired to suggest renaming the Emmys. “Welcome back to the Spoiler Awards. I guess everyone on every show died,” he told the audience.
