After approximately two years of continuous work, the team behind the elementary OS Linux distribution announced today, April 11, the immediate availability for download of the final build of their elementary OS 0.3 computer operating system.

Dubbed Freya, elementary OS 0.3 is one of the most anticipated GNU/Linux distributions in the world, it is derived from Ubuntu, and it's known as one of the most beautiful Linux kernel-based operating systems.

The final version of the elementary OS 0.3 Freya includes a wide variety of new features, dozens of improvements, bug fixes, updated translations, lots of under-the-hood tweaks, updated applications from upstream, better documentation, and many other goodies for you to discover.
