Microsoft has just announced that edjing, a very popular mixing app that’s already available on several platforms, has landed on Windows 8 and would be released for download later this week.

Adopters of Microsoft’s latest operating system are provided with an exclusive feature called “Pitch Shifter” that allows users to change the music speed without actually modifying the tone of the song.

“You can bring in music from your personal music library and mix songs with those effects and then share them with friends on Facebook and Twitter. You can also customize the look of the turntables in the app with skins. With a “pre-cueing” feature in the app – you can preview tracks ahead of time,” the Softies explained.

edjing will be released for download later this week, just in time for the BUILD developer conference that’ll witness the public launch of Windows 8.1 Preview.
