14 DAY TRIAL // After successfully launching Star Wars: Battlefront on all major gaming platforms, Electronic Arts released a mobile game in the same franchise.
The new game is called Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and offers players the possibility to collect more than 60 characters in the Star Wars universe, with which they will be able to battle in either dark or light side campaigns.
Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is a free-to-play RPG that allows players to build teams of powerful characters and craft the best strategy to win battles across iconic locations to become the most legendary hologamer in the galaxy.
You will be able to fight on the light side and dark side in well-known Star Wars locations including Hoth, Bespin, Tatooine, Geonosis and beyond.
Each character that you unlock can be strategically used to conquer opponents thanks to its unique special attacks. According to EA, from Darth Sidious’s Force Lightning to Chewbacca’s Wookiee Rage, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes lets you make your champions more powerful than any enemy has ever imagined.”
Another “pay-to-win or grind forever” EA mobile game?
The game offers both single and multiplayer modes, so there's a little bit of something for everyone. There's also Arena Rank rewards where players win prizes every day based on their leaderboard rank.
New Star Wars characters can be unlocked by completing epic missions on Hoth, Bespin, Tatooine, Coruscant, and other memorable locations.
Also, EA has announced that the first time players open the game, they will unlock a free Resistance Trooper inspired by Star Wars.
You can now download Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes for Android for free via Google Play Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.1 and up.
For iOS users, the game can be downloaded for free via App Store. It should work smoothly on all devices running iOS 8.0 or newer.
