Windows phones are losing yet another important app, as Electronic Arts has announced that FIFA Mobile would be pulled from Microsoft’s mobile platform on November 7 this year.

The game will no longer support or update online services for the game after this date, so users are recommended to switch to iPhone or Android in order to continue playing. To do this, all they have to do is provide their Facebook credentials, as content is synced through Facebook and they can continue on iPhone or Android from where they left off.

“The decision to retire games services is never easy. We’ve put time into creating FIFA Mobile for your Windows device and you’ve put even more time into playing it. We will continue to run online services for the next 90 days, until November 7,” Electronic Arts says in an announcement.

In-game currency needs to be spent by November 7

What’s very important to know is that Windows 10 Mobile users need to spend their in-game currency by November 7 because after that, all online services will be discontinued and they won’t be able to make nay purchase in the game. If you do transfer your content to Android or iOS, FIFA points will be carried over as well.

“After November 7, you won’t have access to any game-related data or content and the online games services will shut down. Refunds won’t be available,” Electronic Arts explains.

The Windows Store version of FIFA Mobile wasn’t quite well received by Microsoft’s users, and while many were pleased with the idea of playing the popular football game on their devices, they were disappointed with the lack of apps, bugs, and crashes. The app’s overall rating in the Windows Store right now is 2.7, and no less than 67 users who downloaded it rated the game with one star out of five.
