14 DAY TRIAL // The guys over at Ilium Software have just delivered a new version of one of their very popular software solutions for mobile phones and Windows-based computers, eWallet. The application has just reached version 7.0, and comes around with a great deal of improvements and new features, aimed at those who own an iPhone, Windows Mobile or BlackBerry device, not to mention Windows PC users.
The release notes of eWallet 7.0 for Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and iPhone include: - Keep your graphics when you sync: design a great wallet on your desktop - create custom background images, scan copies of your real cards - and when you sync with a Windows Mobile device or iPhone, your customizations sync too! - Take important files with you: files you've attached in the Windows version can be synced to your Windows Mobile device or iPhone, so you can keep them secure and take them anywhere you go. - Sync with ease: BlackBerry users get full sync support built into eWallet on the desktop. - Move quickly through your cards: Windows Mobile 6.5 touchscreen users can easily flip from card to card by simply swiping across the screen.
Among the changes the new eWallet 7.0 comes around on Windows computers with, we can count the possibility to use AutoPass with Firefox and Internet Explorer, a brand-new interface for eWallet for Windows, a series of personalization options now available with the application, including a selection of styles, color schemes, and backgrounds, compatibility with Windows 7, the possibility to set global properties for your cards, a Recent Card list that shows the cards that have been recently opened, and others more.
On the downside, those who own a Palm OS-based device should know that the new flavor of the application does not feature support for their handsets. Moreover, the company says that support for Palm’s WebOS and Google’s Android platforms hasn't been included in its plans for the time being. On the other hand, there is a preview version for the Mac OS, and there are a series of upgrade discounts and options for those who already purchased the software.
The eWallet app is available for $19.95 for Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, iPhone, iPod touch, Windows PC, laptop or Windows netbook users. Those who already bought the app and would like to upgrade to the new version will get it for free in case eWallet for Windows, Windows Mobile, or BlackBerry has been purchased in the last 90 days (between August 30, 2009 and December 1, 2009). The company will send an email to those eligible for the free upgrade. Those who bought the app before August 30 can upgrade to the new flavor for only $10.00. A 30-day trial is also available.
