3DMark06 Score contest held by eVGA turns on the madness once again

While this would not usually be a thing to write about, a simple association between the words 3DMark and eVGA made me change my mind. The idea is simple though quite unusual: you have to produce the biggest 3DMark06 score and eVGA will take you on a trip at 0G on the same plane that NASA uses to train its astronauts.

That may not be a new idea but is definitely an appealing one, since the only problem that you need to surpass in order to enter the contest is to be a member of eVGA's online community. Not a problem for all you eVGA owners. Yippee!

Currently, the record has almost reached the 16k barrier with the exact number being 6K 15.926 3dmarks. The contest ends on December 15th so you'd better hurry and prepare your Vapochills, TECs and LN2 containers. The game is on once again.

Two winners from America and only one from Europe will be given economy class tickets (eVGA could have done better here but I guess the winner won't mind) from their respective destinations to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The winners must get there on January 2007 from 18-19th until the 21st. The prize consisting of one zero-G flight is scheduled for January 20th, 2007.
