The famous eBay and the Sunnyvale company Yahoo rolled out a new version of their toolbar that is meant to bring more functionality to the users of Internet Explorer. Just like older versions, eBay Toolbar Featuring Yahoo provides instant access to the Yahoo products such Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Search and My Yahoo. Also, you have several search technologies available including Yahoo Local, Yahoo Video and Yahoo Answers. Beside the main Yahoo solutions, you're also able to search eBay and access My eBay with only one click.

"The eBay Toolbar Featuring Yahoo! is a free, helpful tool that you add to your Web browser. The eBay Toolbar offers essential features such as Account Guard and My eBay, as well as a powerful search to find items in eBay.com, Half.com, eBay Express, eBay Motors and more. Popular Yahoo! features such as Search Web, Yahoo! Mail and My Yahoo! make it easy to perform your online activities from one place," it is mentioned on the official page of the browser add-on.

The product is currently compatible only with Internet Explorer 5.01, 5.5, 6.0, or 7.0 and with Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Vista. Beside the main function, the toolbar also protects your browsing by blocking unwanted pop-ups. In addition, the toolbar allows you to track your eBay account by showing buying and selling status alerts.

According to Auctionbytes, the two companies are currently working on a Firefox version of the toolbar but there is no official date for its release. "Existing Toolbar users can continue to use the old version, and eBay said it is working on a Firefox-compatible toolbar. eBay had announced plans for the co-branded toolbar when it entered into an advertising agreement with Yahoo last year," the publication said.
