Microsoft has yet to make the dual-SIM Lumia XL LTE version available for purchase in some countries, and India is one of those regions.

But that's about to change, as major retailer Flipkart has just listed the smartphone on its webstore with the “Coming Soon” tagline attached to it.

While we don't know when exactly the smartphone will go on sale, potential customers should know that the device might cost around Rs 17,000 outright, which is about $265 or €245.

Lumia 640 XL LTE Dual-SIM will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 right out of the box, but owners can also become Windows Insiders and install one of the latest Windows 10 Mobile preview builds released by Microsoft.

It's also worth mentioning that this smartphone is Windows 10 ready, which means it will be upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile later this year when Microsoft releases the new mobile OS.

Mid-range specs and an extra-large display

As for the specs, the Lumia 640 XL LTE Dual-SIM is a mid-range smartphone that sports a large 5.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with HD (720p) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Also, the Lumia 640 XL LTE Dual-SIM packs only 8GB of internal memory, but users can further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Another strong point of the Lumia 640 XL LTE Dual-SIM is the 13-megapixel camera on the back, which features Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. In the front, the handset packs a 5-megapixel selfie camera that can capture full HD (1080p) video.

As the name suggests, it offers dual-SIM and 4G LTE support, along with other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with AGPS and microUSB 2.0. The smartphone is powered by a 3,000 mAh removable battery and includes FM Radio and NFC (Near Field Communication).
