Gamers will have to decide the fate of the Inquisition

Video game developer BioWare is announcing that it is working on a final downloadable content pack for Dragon Age: Inquisition, called Trespasser, which is designed to offer an epilogue to the story the team has been telling and to set up the next title in the series.

The studio says that gamers will pick up the narrative thread two years after the events of the game, when the entire Inquisition is no longer needed apparently because the world is at peace, and no one dares to challenge the might of the player and their companions.

In Trespasser, gamers will be able to talk to their old friends, discover a new potential threat, and get hints about the way Thedas will evolve in the coming years and what the Dragon Age series will offer.

They will also have a chance to decide the fate of the Inquisition itself, as the attached video makes it clear.

BioWare states on the official site, "This game has been a crazy ride, from the moment we decided to completely rebuild DA on the Frostbite engine to today, when so many of you have stunned us with your amazing fan creations, passion and, of course, feedback on what we did right and where we can improve should we do another. Thank you on all counts!"

Trespasser does not have an official launch date yet.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is also getting a major patch

The developers are also actively working on a free update for the action role-playing game that will introduce a number of new features in addition to bug fixes.

A Golden Nug will be added to the Dragon Age: Inquisition, allowing gamers to sync collectibles across their game, which will basically allow gamers to start a new game plus experience without actually launching a new campaign.

The synchronization includes a variety of content from crafting schematics to recipes for potions, decorations for Skyhold and mounts.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is also getting a wardrobe that includes a new array of outfits that are designed for the comfort of Skyhold rather than the battlefield.

BioWare is not yet offering a full list of patch notes, but the update will arrive on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 at the same time.
