A new piece of single-player DLC will be revealed soon

The development team at BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts are announcing that they are launching a new Trial version of Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is offered only on the PC and allows gamers to test the game more extensively than a simple demo would.

Those who use the Origin digital distribution service to get the package will be able to play the single-player campaign for six hours in order to see the core mechanics and what the story has to offer initially.

At the same time, the Trial version of Dragon Age: Inquisition allows anyone to spend unlimited time in multiplayer, with no restrictions when it comes to the characters or the modes they can play.

The two companies are probably trying to show gamers who have not picked up the game its core innovations and to then convince them that it's worth paying in order to get to see the entire narrative.

The only complaint linked to the initiative is that six hours is too little time for single-player and it would have been a better idea to allow gamers to get through the entire story linked to the Hinterlands to see how the mechanics work and how the story evolves.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is getting more DLC in the coming months

The launch of the new Trial version is clearly designed to get potential customers interested in the title as BioWare is getting ready to deliver a new piece of downloadable content for the single-player campaign.

Hints about it have been offered in a player survey, and if an announcement takes place in a few weeks, launch will probably take place before the end of the year.

BioWare has suggested that it will offer a coda to the narrative and will give players a chance to play with a new character in their party.

In the meantime, the studio is also offering more multiplayer events and is continuing to deliver patches.

No more DLC will be offered for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 versions of Dragon Age: Inquisition, but a save game importer is offered so that players can move their data to one of the modern home consoles.
