Use these ISOs for a clean install of the new build

Microsoft has recently released a new Windows 10 Redstone preview build for fast ring insiders, but as usual, this new version is only available through Windows Update, which means that you must be participating in the program or registering for it to receive it.

As far as a clean install is concerned, that’s a little bit more complicated and involves building your own ISO using the ESD file that Microsoft uses to ship builds.

Fortunately, Windows 10 build 14267 ISOs have already been built by other users online and are now available for download (via @Lyraull). Note that these ISOs are not created by Microsoft and although some people could think they’re illegal, they’re not because pretty much everyone can create one with the aforementioned ESD update file.

What’s new in build 14267

Windows 10 Redstone build 14267 comes with improvements for Microsoft Edge, finally making it possible to choose a different location when downloading files.

Previously, Edge users were not allowed to pick the file saving location, but thanks to this new update, they can do so when a prompt is displayed before the download process actually starts. Additionally, the build also brings some improvements for the favorites bar, providing a few more options to organize bookmarks and group them into folders.

Cortana also received some improvements and now makes it easier to search for music, while the Messaging app now supports photos and can take pictures with your device camera and share them instantly with your contacts.

As far as the stable version of Windows 10 Redstone is concerned, it’s expected to land in the summer of 2016, with more significant improvements than the ones currently available for insiders, including support for browser extensions in Edge (this feature is also likely to debut in future preview builds too).
