14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft rolled out Windows 10 build 10162 only a few minutes ago, but since this new version is only available for users enrolled in the fast track of the Windows Insider program, there's still no new ISO that would allow you to perform a clean install.
Microsoft has already confirmed that, at some point in the future, this build could be released to slow ring users as well, but fortunately, you don't need to wait anymore if you're into trying ISOs coming from sources other than the Redmond-based tech giant.
The ISOs whose download links you can find at the end of the article were created using the official ESD files shipped today by Microsoft to fast ring users, so everything should actually work smoothly when trying to do a clean install.
And yet, if something goes wrong, just don't blame Microsoft for it because the company recommends users to get build 10162 via Windows Update after registering for the Windows Insider program.
The best Windows 10 build so far
As for the new features that are part of build 10162 and that you might come across after installing, you won't find anything too exciting, but only bug fixes and performance improvements that should make it the best Windows 10 build so far, as Microsoft itself explains.
“Build 10162 is another great one. In fact, our testing and internal telemetry metrics show it has better reliability, performance, battery life, and compatibility than any Windows 10 Insider Preview build so far,” Microsoft goes on to add.
Needless to say, more builds could come in the next few weeks, as we get closer to the official July 29 launch, so keep an eye on the news to make sure that your computer is always up to date.
