A few moments ago, Samsung has just released a new firmware update developed for its NX20 smart camera, namely version 1.16, which improves the device’s EVF brightness control.

If you intend to install this fresh release, first you must format an SD card using either the computer or the camera and make sure to use a fully-charged battery set.

Download the firmware file onto the root folder of the memory card, insert it into the NX camera, power the device on, and go to Menu → Setup Menu 3 → Firmware Update.

Now, select the “Body Firmware” option, choose “Yes” at the “Body Upgrade?” message, and wait for the process to finish. After the progress bar displayed on the screen has completely loaded, the camera automatically turns off.

At this point, you must remove the SD card that you have used in this process, turn the device back on, and check the currently installed firmware version to ensure that the upgrade has been successful.

Bear in mind that, while the NX20 smart camera is applying the new software, you mustn’t operate the unit’s buttons, power off the device, or remove the batteries or memory card – doing so will result in an update failure that can seriously damage your Samsung product.

That being said, download Samsung NX20 Camera Firmware 1.16, follow the steps described above, apply the latest software version, and check with our website as often as possible in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
