The development team at Valve in charge of the DOTA 2 Multiplayer Online Battle Arena experience is announcing that it is upgrading the official site of the coming The International event in order to make it easier for fans to track the action and check out their favorite matches.

Updates will be offered all through the coming weeks, with the first big one coming on July 22 when the already invited teams make it to Seattle.

Valve is also introducing an entirely new live streaming service for DOTATV, which is integrated into the new Watch section of the site.

The company explains in the announcement that "Games are broadcast at up to 1080p at 60 frames per second and feature real-time stats, graphs and match data. The Watch section gives you quick access to the most-viewed Dota matches currently being streamed through Steam Broadcasting."

All matches from The International for DOTA 2 will be shown on the new platform and gamers are encouraged to offer their feedback on the features and suggestions about how it might be improved.

Gamers can also attend one of the viewing parties for the event, which will be organized in more than 400 movie theaters across the United States.

The International starts on August 3

The DOTA 2 teams will battle it out to win the trophy of the biggest DOTA 2 eSports event in the world at the Key Arena in Seattle until August 8.

The prize pool for the competition is over the 16.6 million dollars (15.5 million Euro) mark at the moment, the highest in the history of the video game industry, and fans have managed to unlock all the additional content that they could get in the Compendium.

Valve has made it clear that no rewards will be added and says that it is happy that the community has come together to support The International and to show how important the title is in their lives.

DOTA 2 is a success story for Valve, which has managed to make it a solid competitor for the League of Legends experience from Riot Games, despite a relatively late launch.
