Blizzard announced that the Diablo III Eternal Collection for Nintendo Switch is scheduled to be released on November 2.

More and more games are made available for Nintendo Switch, showing that the platform is more than suited to house this type of content. If you take a closer look at the console, playing Diablo III on it is not the first thing that comes to mind.

On the other hand, Nintendo sold so many Switches that developers are seriously looking to this console. It would be foolish to ignore so many possible players and customers, even if the hardware of the Switch is a little bit slower. It just takes more time to adapt the games to the hardware.

Everything that you love from Diablo III

The first thing that people might think about the port is that Blizzard had to make concessions and drop some of the features, but it turns out that’s not the case.

“On top fighting through an epic story campaign that spans the High Heavens, the Burning Hells, and beyond, players can earn bountiful rewards in Adventure Mode, a never-ending onslaught of activity with constantly shifting objectives across all of the game’s locales. Diablo III Eternal Collection also includes Seasons, a recurring game mode that encourages players to create fresh characters, earn exclusive Seasonal rewards, and crush hordes of demons to earn spots on their region’s leaderboards,” says Blizzard.

Of course, the game can be played both with the Joy-Con controller or the Pro Controller, and up to four players at once can join a session, either by sharing the screen or by linking their consoles wirelessly.

All of the campaign additions are available in the Diablo III Eternal Edition, and that includes the latest Rise of the Necromancer. There are even some exclusive items such as Ganondorf’s cosmetic armor set, which is inspired from The Legend of Zelda series.

Diablo III Eternal Edition launched November 2 on Nintendo Switch, both in retails and digitally through the Nintendo eShop.
