Blizzard has just posted a brand new job listing for an Art Director who will work on the next hit game from the studio and who needs to have a deep understanding of the Diablo universe. As you can imagine, rumors about a Diablo 4 have immediately started floating around the web.

Blizzard has quite a few different major properties but, while the main focus is on the Warcraft universe, thanks to the likes of World of Warcraft or Hearthstone, both StarCraft as well as Diablo are appreciated by the studio. What's more, it's also allocating quite a bit of time and resources to newcomers like Heroes of the Storm and Overwatch.

After supporting Diablo 3 for quite a long time with updates, major patches, and even full-fledged expansions like Reaper of Souls, it's apparently time for Blizzard to shift focus on a new installment.

Blizzard is hiring for a new game that could be Diablo 4

According to a job listing for an Art Director, the studio wants to hire someone to work on its next hit game. While very few details are shared, the ideal candidate needs to have a "deep understanding of the Diablo franchise."

While it may not explicitly confirm a new installment in the series, it's quite likely that the studio wants to start building on it sooner rather than later, while the community still enjoys Diablo 3 and is willing to make the jump to a whole new adventure.

Diablo 3 is still enjoyed by millions and the upcoming update 2.3.0 is set to introduce a whole new area as well as quite a few other interesting mechanics that have already sparked interest in fans, many of whom are experiencing a beta version of it on the Public Test Realm.

Blizzard hasn't commented on the job listing and it's unlikely that it will do such a thing, given its secretive nature and its fondness for revealing things "when they're done."
