Video game developer Blizzard is aiming to make some big changes to the Season feature of Diablo 3 with the coming fifth period of competition and will also offer gamers a chance to get some cool rewards that will improve the look and the abilities of their characters.

The special Legendaries associated with the mode are no longer offered, as the community of players has long requests, and gamers will now able to get a new Haedrig’s Gift bundle, which will be introduced via three objectives that will appear in Chapter 3.

Blizzard explains on the official site that, "By the time you complete all of Chapter 4 of the Season Journey, you should be fully decked out in a full class set! Which set you receive will rotate with each Season and depends on which class of hero you open the gifts on. Each Haedrig’s Gift will be mailed to you and can be retrieved by opening the in-game mail icon in the bottom left corner of the screen."

The sets coming in Season 5 for Diablo 3 are Might of the Earth for Barbarian, Thorns of the Invoker for Crusader, The Shadow’s Mantle for Demon Hunter, Monkey King’s Garb for the Monk, Raiment of the Jade Harvester for Witch Doctor fans and Firebird’s Finery for a Wizard character.

Conquests are also being tweaked to keep them challenging even for players who have experienced all the previous seasons.

A pet that cannot be used in combat, a new pennant and a pair of wings are possible cosmetic rewards for players, in addition to the portrait frames and the pieces of the Conqueror’s Transmogrification set.

Diablo 3 is also getting a new Season Rebirth

The feature allows gamers to take a non-Season character and instantly transform it into one which can take part in the mode, with all inventory mailed to the player and the level dropped to one.

Gamers can choose to Rebirth three characters for each distinct period, allowing them to use the variety of protagonists that they have created over time.

Season 5 for Diablo 3 is set to launch on January 15 of 2016 at 5 PM across all time zones and is designed to run for about three months, with the end date set to be decided later and based on feedback offered by the player base.

Blizzard continues to state that it has no plans to introduce the mode for the home console versions of the game because of their limitations, although something similar might be introduced next year.

Before Season 5 launches, gamers will get access to the major patch 2.4.0, which is at the moment being tested by a limited number of players.

It is designed to introduce a major set of tweaks to core gameplay mechanics and classes while also adding an entirely new area that will challenge even veteran gamers with its flora and fauna.

Diablo 3 was first introduced in 2012, and since then Blizzard has managed to keep it relevant by introducing more content and changing major elements of the game experience based on the fans’ reactions.
