The moment you've all been waiting for is here, the UK-based video game publisher Feral Interactive has just made the big announcement today, November 3, 2016, for the launch of the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided video game on Steam for Linux, and SteamOS.

Exactly two weeks ago, the guys behind Feral Interactive teased the Linux gaming community with yet another AAA title, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, after giving us a unique chance to play the excellent Mad Max open world action-adventure video game just a day before announcing the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Linux port.

"Uncover a vast worldwide conspiracy with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, now available for Linux," reads the announcement page on Feral Interactive's website. "The year is 2029, and mechanically augmented humans are now outcasts, completely segregated from the rest of society. Clandestine organizations control the fate of mankind."

System requirements for playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on Linux

To enjoy the beauty of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on your Linux gaming rig, which should boast at least an Intel Core i3-4130 or AMD FX8350 processor with 8GB RAM, most probably you'll need to run a 64-bit Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) OS running the Nvidia 367.57 proprietary video driver. SteamOS 2.0 is supported as well.

Which means that you'll also need to have an Nvidia graphics card, preferably Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 with 2GB RAM or faster GPU. However, for best performance, Feral Interactive recommends using a PC with an Intel Core i7-3770K processor, 16GB RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU with 6GB RAM. 67GB free disk space is required for installation.

On the other hand, Feral Interactive informs Linux gamers that AMD Radeon graphics cards aren't supported for the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided port at this point. Also, the game will be ported to the Mac platform as soon as Apple updates its Metal graphics API. More details can be found on the minisite.

You can purchase Deus Ex: Mankind Divided right now from Feral Interactive's online store, and check out the trailer video below to see it in action. The game is activated with a Steam key, which you'll need to enter on your Steam for Linux desktop client. The game is available for purchase directly from Steam as well.
