The full remake of the original game is coming in 2022

There isn’t much to say that hasn’t been said yet since PlayStation inadvertently leaked the announcement before THQ Nordic’s show, but we can at least confirm that Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed is happening.

Unlike the previous game that made it to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X/S, the next title will only be available on PC and current-gen consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S), at least according to THQ Nordic.

Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed is a full remake of the original game, adding and improving features while rebuilding the game from scratch in Unreal Engine 4 visuals. The game is in development at Black Forest Games, the same studio responsible for Fade to Silence, Titan Quest, and Destroy All Humans!

Set in the 1960s, Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed puts players in the role of Crypto, a vengeful alien set to invade not just the United States, but the entire world. After the KGB blew up his mothership, Crypto seeks revenge and travels to famous places in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, Japan, and even to the Moon.

Crypto is back with a license to probe. The alien invader returns, groovier than ever. Experience the swinging ‘60s in all its chemical-induced glory and take revenge on the KGB for blowing up your mothership. You’ll have to form alliances with members of the very species you came to enslave.

Although THQ Nordic didn’t announce when exactly Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed will release, it did confirm that it won’t be out until 2022. As mentioned earlier, this one doesn’t seem to be on its way to older generation consoles like the previous game, so if you don’t get a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S, you’ll have to play it on PC or not at all.
