The Taken King for Destiny is less than two weeks away from the official launch and Bungie continues to give gamers clear information about the kind of experiences they will be able to get in the expansion, with the focus on this week's live stream talking about the Court of Oryx event.

Gamers will be able to reach the new area by moving through the Hall of Souls, getting into a giant arena where they are able to call down a number of bosses in order to battle them for both fame and rewards.

The Court of Oryx event includes three tiers, with gamers able to take on level 36 difficulty enemies for the first and Nightfall level for the second one.

Bungie says Destiny will allow gamers to combine bosses in order get a tougher challenge and for each of them a special mechanic will be involved, with the community having to learn exactly how to weaken them before delivering the final blow.

The studio wants to offer variety when it comes to both gameplay and dialogue, and there are also player-driven events, where they can discover special objects and gain bonuses.

In Court of Oryx, gamers can get access to runes and a loot chest will be delivered when a full set is obtained.

They will also be used to start events, and the player who uses a run will get better loot than his companions.

Swords will need to be forced in The Taken King

Bungie has also offered information about the new weapons that gamers will be using in the expansion, swords that are designed to make their characters powerhouses when they get close to enemies.

But it seems that gamers will be unable to get them in regular loot drops and will have to create them using a list of materials.

The Taken King will arrive on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and older consoles on September 15.

The free update 2.0, which tweaks many of the core Destiny mechanics, will be offered on September 8, offering gamers a chance to test the changes before the launch of the expansion.

On September 18, gamers will also get access to the King's Fall raid, centered on Oryx, although Bungie has not said why it decided on the three-day gap.
