A lot of gamers were disappointed to learn that the coming The Taken King expansion for Destiny would not include the big King's Fall raid on launch, but it seems that Bungie is planning to add it relatively quickly after the rest of the new content is introduced.

A new message from the official Twitter account of the studio explains that actual development for the raid has been completed, but it does not offer a clear date for when it will actually be available in the social shooter.

The "Gear up and get ready" phrase might be a sign that Bungie is not launching King's Fall for The Taken King on release day because it wants gamers to have the time to get more equipment for their Guardians and settle on a solid setup before tackling the experience.

The new raid is designed to be the most difficult ever introduced in Destiny, harder to complete than both Vault of Glass and Crota's End.

Oryx is a new boss that is coming back to the solar system in order to avenge his son Crota, and the development team is making sure that he is scary and hard to take down.

Destiny - The Taken King introduces a wide range of new experiences

Bungie has been listening to the player community to get a better understanding on the tweaks that they want to see implemented.

The Taken King will add more variety to all the core elements of the shooter and gamers will be able to use a new progression system that relies more on experience and less on light levels.

The shooter is also changing how certain rewards and currencies work and there are tweaks to the user interface that should make it easier for gamers to track their goals.

The Taken King for Destiny is arriving on September 15 on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and older home consoles.

The update 2.0 is slated to be delivered for the entire community on September 8 and Bungie claims that those who want to download and apply it will need to make sure that they have a solid chunk of free space on their hard drive.
