Video game developer Bungie is announcing that it plans to deliver a range of changes for the Trials of Osiris game mode in Destiny, aiming to make the entire experience more appealing to gamers who will get access to it starting October 13.

The studio explains that gamers will need to put together a solid Fireteam in order to be competitive, focusing on improving the kind of gear that their Guardians use and on mixing powers and abilities.

Derek Carroll, a senior designer,  says on the official site that, in Trials of Osiris, special gear will now only be offered at the end of the match and for the winning team, with a progression system in place to reward those who chain victories.

Passage Coins will be offered for the teams that lose matches.

The designer adds, "Trials Passages now have a Details page containing your active buffs. You won’t be able to add buffs once you’ve started your Trial, so make sure you buy them first! Players that go undefeated on their Passage will continue to be invited to The Lighthouse."

Bounties for Trials of Osiris will be available from Brother Vance, allowing gamers to get some gear.

Bungie adds that it is tweaking the matchmaking system to prioritize the win percentage and gamers who are interested in taking part should have a minimum light level of 290.

Destiny is aiming to deliver a range of end-game activities

With the King's Fall raid completed by more and more gamers, the development team is focusing on the introduction of new end-game activities in order to make sure that fans remain engaged with the social shooter.

Iron Banner is coming back on October 13 as well, with gamers able to test their skills in a dedicated Player versus Player environment.

The company says that The Taken King has delivered a massive amount of new content and gameplay tweaks, but that there are more surprises linked to the game that are set to be offered in the coming months.

Presumably, a new expansion for Destiny will be announced before the end of the year and will arrive early in 2016.
