Bungie is looking for a compatibility tester on PC

A brand new job listing has just appeared on the website of developer Bungie, possibly confirming the long-awaited PC version of Destiny. The studio is apparently looking for a compatibility tester to ensure that a new game runs well on PC.

Destiny launched back in September of last year across the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 platforms all around the world. At that time, Bungie mentioned that, while it appreciates the PC platform, the huge scope of a multiplayer experience like Destiny was hard enough to maintain on just the four consoles.

Destiny might still appear on PC soon enough

Since then, however, not much else has been heard about a possible PC version, but now a special job listing on Bungie's website asks for a Compatibility Tester that will be responsible with ensuring that a game runs as well as possible on a variety of PC configurations before launch.

"The PC Compatibility Tester will evaluate PC hardware-specific features and ensure various systems work together across multiple PC configurations to provide a great experience. This is a challenging area to test, so we are only looking for the most resilient and technically minded testers," the studio explains in the description.

Seeing as how Destiny has no other projects in development besides Destiny and its new content, it's pretty much a given that a PC version is coming sooner rather than later, and that the studio wants to ensure that it can run great on different computer configurations by hiring more testers.

Bungie hasn't revealed anything else about the listing and it's unlikely that it will comment about a PC version of Destiny just yet, given its pretty secretive nature.

The actual game is set to receive its biggest expansion yet next month, in the form of The Taken King, which launches on September 15 and brings all sorts of different enhancements and improvements to the multiplayer first-person shooter.

Stay tuned for a possible announcement later this week at Gamescom 2015 or in the next few months, after the expansion drops.
