Video game developer Bungie says that it plans to launch a new hotfix for Destiny, labeled 1.2.0.5, during the month of August, delivering a range of tweaks that will prepare the social shooter for the coming update 2.0, which will accompany the launch of The Taken King.

Gamers can see all the changes that will be made, including the addition of digital rewards linked to Nepal and the changes linked to the Husk of the Pit, by clicking on the button at the end of this article.

It's unclear whether these are all the tweaks gamers will get or if Bungie might add others before the actual release.

Update 2.0 for Destiny will be offered a few days before September 15, when The Taken King arrives, and the development team says that gamers can offer feedback in order to determine what major changes will be made.

We already know that the development team is set to deliver a full weapon balance pass, which will deal with both the base stats of the various categories and with the exotics that gamers are using the most, trying to make more of them appealing in the long term.

Trials of Osiris will activate all maps at random during the coming week

Derek Carroll, the senior designer working on the shooter, also announces that the map rotation for Trials of Osiris is being tweaked, with all the included maps offered at random.

The company explains, "This week only, we’re setting the Trials of Osiris playlist to 'random', just like the Elimination playlist, but on the six Trials maps where you’ve made your weekend homes."

The idea is to surprise gamers who have become so accustomed to the game mode since it was introduced in House of Wolves that they have been complaining that it needs more variety.

On September 15, Destiny will get access to a second expansion for the current year, The Taken King, which will be centered on a big six man raid that will target a major boss called Oryx, the father of Crota.

Bungie is also promising a new area, the dreadnought, which offers new exploration possibilities, as well as an increased level cap for all Guardians, three new subclasses, more items and tweaks for all the other modes.
