14 DAY TRIAL // Demi Lovato has promised that her next album, which is coming out this year, will no longer see her tackling serious topics, because she is “done with the sob stories and the tales.” Demi wanted to have fun, and nowhere is that more apparent than on her leading single off the album, “Cool for the Summer.”
Released as a single at the beginning of the month, “Cool for the Summer” has an official music video as well now - and as you can see below, it’s the perfect visual companion for such a fun and summery track.
Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, the video plays out like a collection of glam pool fashion, fierce posing and summer partying, as it tracks Demi and her girl posse partying the night away.
Since this is a summer track about giving in to curiosity and kissing a girl, the video obviously includes a lot of kissing, both of the straight and the lesbian (or at least bi-curious) type.
And may I add, Demi looks gorgeous: here is a pop star who no longer fits industry’s physical standards but who has found plenty of confidence in her new body and is not ashamed anymore to show it off. Check her out rocking a glam bikini and other fierce styles in the official video for “Cool for the Summer.”
