The developers of the well-known Deluge BitTorrent client announced a few hours ago, on September 13, the immediate availability for download of the twelfth maintenance release of the Deluge 1.3 branch.

According to the release notes, which we've attached at the end of the article for reference, Deluge 1.3.12 is here to fix possible AttributeError? issues in the is_on_active_workspace function of the GTK UI and the set_trackers function with lt 1.0, as well as add support for the Twisted 15.0 URI class rename.

Furthermore, the lt extension bindings are now enabled by default for version 0.16.7 and later, which will disable Tracker Exchange, data loss is now prevented on unclean exits of the software by backporting fixes for the state file saving and atomic fastresume features.

The web-based user interface received some improvements as well, such as longer cookie lifespan for the Display Settings section, and a patch for an i18n issue in the Connection Manager section which didn't allow users to connect. Moreover, the "set and then get" issue has been fixed in the Console's config command, and the current speed limit is now displayed in statusbar.

The Windows build received some improvements

Last but not least, the Windows version of the Deluge 1.3.12 software received various improvements, such as the addition of a 256x256 version to the deluge.ico file, support for resizing tracker icons via the Pillow module, the addition of a version info to the Deluge exes' properties, and a fix for the uninstaller, which no longer deletes non-deluge files.

Download Deluge 1.3.12 for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems right now from Softpedia, where you will find binary packages for 32-bit and 64-bit systems, as well as the software's sources.
