14 DAY TRIAL // The developers behind the deepin GNU/Linux distribution announced today the general availability of the first point release to the deepin 15.4 stable series, versioned 15.4.1.
Launched three months ago, deepin 15.4 is a major release that adds numerous new features and improvements to the Linux-based operating system, but there's always room for improvements and bugs are reported all the time, so that's why we see today the release of deepin 15.4.1 as the first maintenance update in the series.
deepin 15.4.1 is packed with all sort of goodies, including a mini mode for the Launcher, optimizations to the 2D mode of the window manager, implementation of a window preview effect, as well as an animation effect when applications start, and updates to various components.

Among other noteworthy improvements implemented in the deepin 15.4.1 release, we can mention that the Deepin Screenshot in-house built screen capture utility was rebuilt to start in one second and offer users a new design for the toolbar and marquee, as well as to be able to capture context menus directly.
The Control Center has been updated as well with settings to switch keyboard layout shortcuts and a waiting effect when opening the application window, and the Dock now features a tray display function when switching the keyboard layout, as well as a function to directly open files by dragging and dropping them into the application.
Additionally, the 2D effect of the window manager was removed, the unmixed mode was rebuilt and optimized to improve the performance of the Deepin Desktop to that of the lightweight Xfce and LXDE desktop environments, and lots of minor bugs were squashed, so check the attached changelog for details on that.
