Debian devs can hack, socialize and have fun for four days

It looks like last year's Debian SunCamp event for Debian developers was a total success and Martín Ferrari is back with a new proposal that should take place later this spring during four days full of hacking, socializing, and fun.

That's right, we're talking about Debian SunCamp 2017, an event any Debian developer, contributor, or user can attend to meet his or hers Debian buddies, hack together on new projects or improve existing ones by sharing their knowledge, plan upcoming features and discuss ideas for the Debian GNU/Linux operating system.

"Winter is coming to an end in the Northern Hemisphere, we are all in desperate need of some sunshine. We also want to meet again with our Debian buddies, discuss ideas, and work on new projects. Why not combine both?" said Martín Ferrari in the mailing list announcement. "Imagine being in a small town by the coast, hacking next to the swimming pool, deciding your team's plans over a drink, or plotting with your cabal in the sauna."

Debian SunCamp 2017 will be hosted in Province of Girona, Spain

The location is the same where Debian SunCamp 2016 was hosted, namely in the Province of Girona, Spain, but it looks like the dates have been changed a little, and Debian SunCamp 2017 is taking place between May 18 and May 21 at Hotel Anabel, which is located in a small town by the coast, Lloret de Mar.

The organizers want Debian SunCamp 2017 to be relaxed, creative, and fun, and if all this sounds worth it, then you can go ahead and read all there is to know about what to expect, what not to expect, pricing, how to register, and how to attend the event on the official page on the Debian Wiki. Have fun!
