Yesterday, word got out that Ryan Reynolds would be on Conan O’Brien’s show today, August 4, 2015, and that he would introduce the first official trailer for his Deadpool spinoff from 20th Century Fox, out in theaters in February next year.

In the meantime, Fox has released the official “trailer trailer,” which as you can see below, is not the same thing as the official teaser. Instead of just taking some footage from the trailer, this one actually shows no footage of Deadpool in action, as we will see him in the film.

Instead, we get Deadpool being overly dramatic in voiceover, while chilling in his study with a glass of excellent brandy and feeling good about himself.

“Deadpool” is an R-rated release (and it’s also the first comic book-based movie to come out with this age restriction), so the first “trailer trailer” for it also falls under this rating. This means that *discretion is recommended when viewing it as it contains graphic language that some might find offensive.*

As a bonus, Fox also released a new trailer for “Fantastic Four,” which includes right at the very end another surprise appearance by Deadpool, announcing fans that the official film trailer will become available in theaters attached to “Fantastic Four.”

This shouldn’t be surprising considering that both movies come from Fox, but it’s great news nonetheless.
