David Letterman retired this year, after 22 years as host of The Late Show, and as per his own admission, he thought there was absolutely nothing that could make him regret the decision. And then, Donald Trump announced that he was running for President in the US 2016 elections.

Almost in the same breath, he announced plans to force Mexico to build a wall that would keep illegals out of the US because the immigrants they “sent over” were rapists, thieves and drug dealers. “And some, I assume, are good people,” he added (the emphasis is mine, because Trump was clear about knowing for a fact about the rapists and the thieves).

Now Letterman is sorry he no longer has a show to comment on Trump’s Presidential aspirations, but as the video below shows, at least he has friends who are on tour because he can hijack their shows for a few minutes.

Letterman appeared on Steve Martin and Martin Short’s show at the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, Tx, over the weekend to read one of his famous Top 10 lists about Donald Trump.

“A lot of people think we would know everything by now about a man, Donald Trump, a high profile fellow,” he said. “But take a look at the list I have here tonight: Interesting Facts About Donald Trump.”

Apparently, every suit Letterman owns comes with one of those lists, so he just went ahead and read it. Unsurprisingly, many of the jokes were about Trump’s hair, or “that thing on his head,” as Letterman calls it - the same thing Trump promised to say goodbye to once he becomes President.
