A hacker known as Databoss has stolen the databases of BitTorrent clients qTorrent and Deluge, and is offering access to all the data via his website.

Deluge and qTorrent are desktop clients for the BitTorrent protocol, just like uTorrent and Vuze. According to a post on the Reality Forum, a hacker that goes by the name of Databoss has managed to crack the forums of those two BitTorrent clients, and is now offering some of their data to other hackers.

Databoss is not selling the databases per se, but access to their data, as part of an aggregated hacked database search service he set up on his website at Databoss.io.

Besides the two forums, the hacker also lists hundreds of other databases. As word spread around about the service, the owner of RealForums.org filed an abuse complaint with CloudFlare, and had Database.io taken offline.

Before being shut down, the service was offering other hackers access to hacked databases for $2 for one day, $10 for ten days, and $20 per month. As other Reality Forum users pointed out, not all the data was acquired from Databoss hacks, and some seems to have been bought from other hackers as well.

While most of the hacked databases were belonging to smaller forums, a bigger site was also included, and this is SumoTorrent. When confronted with the news, site operators denied any breach. TorrentFreak cites additional information that suggests the data breach actually took place.
