14 DAY TRIAL // On July 26, 2015, Whitney Houston’s only daughter with ex-husband Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina died. At the time of her passing, she had been in hospital since January 31, 2015, in a medically induced coma and with severe brain damage, after being found unresponsive in the bathtub in her Georgia home.
She was with 2 people when this happened: the man she called her “husband,” who had been raised by Whitney as her son, Nick Gordon, and Max Lomas, a friend of the couple, who actually found Krissi unconscious, face-down in the water.
Police believe Nick played a part in Krissi’s near-drowning, after Lomas admitted that he (Nick) had been out of the room for several minutes before he walked in the bathroom to see Krissi there. Now, the DA is gunning for an involuntary manslaughter charge for Gordon, TMZ has learned.

Even if he didn’t try to drown her in a violent fight, as it has been speculated after doctors noticed Krissi was sporting injuries not consistent with the way she’d been found, Nick Gordon is still responsible for her death.
Prosecutors will try to argue that Nick supplied her with drugs on the day of her near-drowning and is thus responsible that she passed out in the water.
They will wait for the toxicology results to come in and see if they have a case. Meanwhile, they’re working to get Lomas to testify in the case and to admit, if that’s what really happened, that Gordon bought and offered the drugs for consumption.
This falls in line with previous reports about the nature of the relationship between Gordon and Krissi, confirmed by her family in a lawsuit filed against him in June. Admittedly, he was verbally and physically violent to her, manipulative and controlling, and was plying her with drugs to have unlimited access to the money her mother had left her in the will.
“Prosecutors believe Nick had reason to know Bobbi Kristina had a drug problem and also knew she would indulge to the point of losing consciousness, yet he helped her get and use drugs and then left her in harm's way,” TMZ says.
Krissi will be laid to rest on Monday
Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina’s body has been released to the family. An autopsy could not determine the cause of death but it has ruled out foul play.
However, before the cause of death is established, the Coroner’s Office has asked for all medical records to be released, and they could provide some information on Gordon’s involvement.
The 22-year-old aspiring singer and actress will be laid to rest on Monday, in a grave next to her mother’s.
