The hacking group known as Crackas With Attitude, or just CWA, have released the names and personal information of over 2,400 US government employees.

CWA made its first appearance on the World stage after it hacked the personal AOL account of CIA Director John Brennan, and then continued their "work" after doing the same thing to FBI Deputy Director, Mark Giuliano, and his wife.

Details for over 2,400 government employees exposed

The group has now continued their rampage amongst US officials, after yesterday it dumped online the personal details of over 2,400 government employees.

Most of the ousted persons are workers in law enforcement, and each had data leak in the following format: full name, job title, organization, agency, phone number, and email address.

Data on home addresses, social security numbers, or other more personal information was not included in the leak, which makes the entire hack much less intrusive compared to the OPM (Office of Personnel Management) data breach.

It all may go back to the CIA Director's email hacking incident

As for the source of the leak, the group did not confirm where it got its most recent data. Right now, there are rumors that CWA hacked government computers and stole the information from one of them, or just bought it off the Dark Web.

The most obvious explanation is that it was extracted from the CIA's Director AOL account, since the hackers previously disclosed that Mr. Brennan often sent work email to his personal AOL address, some of which held data and evaluations on some of its staff.

Before releasing their recent dox, the group also hinted at having around 34,000 "emails, names, position and phone numbers of gov[ernment] associates, including military."

CWA describes itself as Muslim US teenagers that are militating on behalf of Palestine, protesting against the US' support for Israel. The group also put out a strong-worded statement that you can read below. Be advised, strong language is included.
