Rise of the Tomb Raider is a bigger experience than the first experience in the rebooted series and the developers working on it at Crystal Dynamics are saying that dedicated fans will have to spend between 30 and 40 hours exploring every area and learning every secret the world has to offer.

For those who are more focused on the actual story, the play time will be cut in half but 15 to 20 hours is still more than the first new Tomb Raider delivered in terms of campaign length.

Mike Brinker, the lead designer of Rise of the Tomb Raider, tells PixelVulture that, "So expect double the play time collecting everything and exploring every secret tomb. In terms of scale, all our hub spaces, the areas that allow you to explore and choose your own way to play, have been increased by three time the size."

The new Lara Croft powered title will take the action to Syberia as gamers get to deal with a wide variety of new threats, both environmental and human.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is adding a day and night cycle and a weather system that will create a new set of challenges for the player to deal with.

Gamers will also need to solve more complex puzzle sequences, and Lara Croft will be able to craft a wider variety of equipment.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is part of a big holiday season push from Microsoft

A lot of fans were disappointed when Square Enix announced that it was working with the creators of the Xbox One in order to make the game exclusive for a period.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is designed to be one of the titles that boost sales of the platform for the coming Christmas shopping season and Microsoft revealed a special bundle that offers gamers access to the title, a piece of exclusive downloadable content and the first game in the franchise.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is set to be offered on the Xbox One on November 10 of this year, with a PC version of the title coming in early 2016 and one for the PlayStation 4 expected to arrive in the middle of next year.
