Crowdstrike announced its inclusion in the US Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), with its cloud-based endpoint protection solution Crowdstrike Falcon being authorized on the US region GovCloud solution, according to a Nextgov report.

Crowdstrike is a next-gen endpoint protection and threat intelligence company which uses cloud-based solutions for quick incident response in case of crisis.

The Sunnyvale-based American cybersecurity technology company Crowdstrike is known for aiding the US government to clean the Democratic National Committee’s network of Russian hackers before the 2016 election.

After receiving the FedRAMP authorization, Crowdstrike can operate on US Moderate Impact level cloud-based systems where "the loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability would result in serious adverse effects on an agency’s operations, assets, or individuals."

Furthermore, Crowdstrike will be able to use its AI and behavioral-based analytics to help customers to detect and mitigate all types of cyber attacks.

Crowdstrike's FedRAMP authorization will allow US government agencies to reach public network endpoints a lot easier

Crowdstrike's FedRAMP authorization also enables it to expand its reach to the US public sector and to deliver the latest tech in cybersecurity protection to the US federal government.

The cloud-based endpoint protection provider will also add next-gen security protection solutions for stopping security breaches before they affect critical public infrastructure.

Crowdstrike will now be able to help US government agencies to reach the endpoints in public computer networks, the systems where government employees are left defenseless in the face of sophisticated phishing and hacking attacks.

"FedRAMP provides a standardized approach across the U.S. federal government for assessing security and continuous monitoring of cloud infrastructure and services," said Crowdstrike. "FedRAMP gives the U.S. public sector a common framework for establishing trust in cloud services, saving the federal government significant time and resources."
