The Chinese company Coolpad is already present on the Indian smartphone market with two products: Dazen 1 and Dazen X7.

Both have been pretty popular among Indian customers since they were released on the market, which might be one of the reasons Coolpad has decided to launch yet another mid-range Android smartphone in the country.

According to a new report, the Coolpad Dazen Note 3 will be launched in India very soon. While there are no details on pricing options and availability, word is that the smartphone won't cost more than Rs 10,000 ($155 / €140), which would be a great deal considering its specs.

Although Coolpad has yet to announce the Dazen Note 3, the name suggests that the device will belong to phablet category. As such, it will sport a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

There's no mention of Corning Gorilla Glass coating, but at this price we wouldn't have expected it anyway. Furthermore, the smartphone is said to pack 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

The type of processor powering the Dazen Note 3 hasn't been unveiled or leaked yet, but it could be either Qualcomm or MediaTek, since the previous Coolpad smartphones use both.

Fingerprint scanner and 13MP rear-camera

One thing that will set the Dazen Note 3 apart from other smartphones in the same price range will be the fact that it comes with a fingerprint scanner, which is very rare for a device price below Rs 10,000.

Also, on the back side there's a 13-megapixel main camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera.

Coolpad Dazen Note 3 will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery, and will be available in both black and white color options.

There's also the matter of which version of OS the Dazen Note 3 will run. Since both Dazen 1 and Dazen X7 ship with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system right out of the box, there's a high chance that the Dazen Note 3 will come with the same version onboard.
