We've got a few videos showing what Microsoft's Continuum for Phones can do, so another official (?) video can't hurt anyone, especially Windows Phone fans.

The new official video has been recently leaked via Twitter, but we believe Microsoft will be releasing the video in the next couple of weeks.

In order to increase the hype around its new Windows 10 smartphones, Lumia 950/950 XL, Microsoft will want to highlight all the aspects that could appeal to a potential customer.

The 1-minute video shows the full desktop experience users can enjoy with Windows 10 Mobile. If you own a compatible smartphone that supports Continuum for Phones, you will be able to use your desktop as a secondary larger screen.

You can even run applications from your phone directly on your desktop PC, while using your phone for other tasks like sending an email or calling someone.

Great functionality comes at a price

Once you finished working on your desktop PC, all the data will be saved on your phone, so you will be able to access it while on the move.

Continuum for Phones will be available once Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL make their debut on the market next month. Obviously, you will need a special dock connector that Microsoft is selling for around €100 / $100.

Keep in mind though that Microsoft has already confirmed that current Windows Phone handsets aren't compatible with its Continuum for Phones service.

It looks like Continuum for Phones has been designed to work only with certain chipsets. According to Microsoft, in order to run Continuum, your phone needs to be equipped with at least a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 MSM8992 or MSM8994 chipset.

Since these chipsets are only included in the new high-end Windows 10 smartphones announced by Microsoft, you will have to upgrade to Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL if you want to take advantage of Continuum for Phones feature.
