Company of Heroes 2 is a real-time strategy game originally developed by Relic Entertainment and ported to Linux by Feral Interactive. Now, the studio that also took care of the porting process has announced that some DLCs for the game are also available for Linux players.

Company of Heroes 2 is not your typical game because most of its content is actually available through DLCs. It might seem like a weird way of providing content for the fans, but it worked just fine and the game had a resounding success.

The game was released for Linux users just a few days ago, on August 27, and now all the major DLCs have been made available. Don't get me wrong, Company of Heroes 2 has a lot of content on its own, but it only covers the Russian campaign. If you want to play on the other side, you'll need to buy the DLCs.

Company of Heroes 2 on Linux is now a complete experience

When DLCs for games are so massive (or many in this case), it takes a little longer to make them available. Usually, studios release the game itself and then work on DLCs.

"New battles, scenarios and campaigns await battle-hardened veterans of Company of Heroes 2. So you've resisted the Germans at Stalingrad, encircled and defeated the Wehrmacht's Sixth Army and stormed the steps of the Reichstag, and now you're ready for a new challenge, worthy of a Company of Heroes 2 veteran. It's a good job, then, that Company of Heroes 2 has a raft of additional content, including missions packs based on key Soviet-German battles and campaigns of World War II," reads the announcement from Feral Interactive.

The expansions that have been made available so far are Company of Heroes 2 - Case Blue Mission Pack, Company of Heroes 2 - Southern Fronts Mission Pack, and Company of Heroes 2 - Victory at Stalingrad Mission Pack. More will come in the near future.
