What is cl33n? It's a clean (of course), safe and FREE Linux-based web browsing environment. Yes, web environment and not operating system, because with cl33n you will have a virus-free, spyware-free environment just for your daily Internet tasks, like Internet banking, emailing, social networking, all of these in a safe and secure Linux LiveCD. And because it's a LiveCD, it will not operate any changes on your computer, so you can use it safely on any PC.

Why should you use cl33n? Most of the Internet viruses and spyware are written for Windows operating systems and they will not affect cl33n because it's incompatible with any existing malware.

How do I use it? If you are a Windows user, download the ISO image, burn it to a blank CD with your favorite CD/DVD burning application, then reboot your Windows environment and boot from the CD. The cl33n boot screen will show up; in a few seconds the system will connect to the Internet and Mozilla Firefox browser will appear on your screen to give you a safe and secure web environment.

As I said earlier, cl33n is based on Linux, Debian and Debian Live to be more precise. It's powered by Matchbox window manager and relies on the latest version (2.0.0.3) of Firefox web browser for your daily Internet browsing tasks. You don't even need to be worried about the license, because cl33n is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2 and it gives you the right to redistribute cl33n as long as your modifications are also Open Source.

For more information and question regarding this LiveCD please visit the official home page.

You can download cl33n right now from Softpedia.

What a great idea for a live cd! Of course, any other linux live cd is sufficient for popping into a computer and browsing the web (although sometimes, fiddling with network interfaces is necessary), but a dedicated web browsing distribution is really something that will catch on.
