14 DAY TRIAL // The narrative-focused, cyberpunk RPG Citizen Sleeper, seems to be a success story for one-person game development studio Jump Over the Age. The second game released by Gareth Damian Martin, after In Other Waters, Citizen Sleeper will be getting not one, not even two, but three free DLC.
After launching Episode: Flux back in July, the studio announced the second DLC called Episode Refuge will arrive on October 27. While the first DLC introduced a new character and added more narrative choices, Episode Refuge will be expanding upon the story of the refugee flotilla, and the wider narrative of the Helion System.
More importantly, Citizen Sleeper players will be getting another new character, Sol, captain of the Pilgrim Seed, the biggest ship in the refugee flotilla. Those who have already played the game may want to know that Sol is coming from Ember’s Hearth, the largest moon of the gas giant Ember.
Captain Sol will play a very important role in the upcoming DLC since in Episode: Refuge a strange event sends ripples through the communities of the Eye. To learn more about the new threat, players must enter the flotilla and help refugees stabilize their community.
Just like the first DLC, Episode: Refuge will be available for free across all platforms, to anyone who own or has access to Citizen Sleeper (that includes Xbox Game Pass members).
But that’s not everything Jump Over the Age revealed this week. A roadmap of the game indicates that the third, and last, free DLC will be coming in early 2023. No name or other details about the last DLC have been revealed yet, but we’ll certainly learn more in the first months of the next year.
