The extension warns that Steve Bannon has a lot of weight at the White House, perhaps too much of it

There’s no point in living if you have no fun. That’s what some people seemed to think when they created a Google Chrome extension that replaces every mention of the word “Trump” with “Steve Bannon.”

While this may be a joke to some extent, it's meant to point out just how much of an influence Bannon is at the White House and how his ideas start coming out of Trump’s mouth every time he speaks.

Business Insider reports that Shripal Shah, American Bridge Vice President, said the extension was supposed to show the power that Trump gave to the controversial advisor at the White House. “But it also comes with a warning: Anyone who thought the news about the Donald Trump administration was terrifying should exercise extreme caution when reading about the reckless and bigoted policies ordered by President Bannon,” he added.

President Bannon

If you’ve been hiding under a rock until now, and we wouldn’t blame you for it, you should know that Bannon is both a political activist and businessman. Before taking on the job as Trump’s main whisperer, Bannon was the executive chairman at Breitbart News, a far-right website full of alternative news, opinion pieces and commentaries. The content there is often racist, sexist, xenophobic, and anti-semitic and there were plenty of conspiracy theories running around.

“The dangers of having a white supremacist running the country can’t be overstated and we’re already seeing the consequences. We’re going to hold this administration accountable moving forward,” Shah said.

Called “President Bannon,” the Chrome extension can be found in the Chrome store and it was launched earlier today. It is unclear at this point just how many have downloaded the app, but it’s pretty clear that many will follow suit, if only just to have some fun for a few days. This isn’t the first time such an app has made its way into the store. One similar app turned Donald Trump photos into kittens, while another, older one, pretty much replaced all pictures on the page with Ryan Gosling (Hey Girl).
