America has Owen Wilson to thank for that

Only last month, after Presidential hopeful Donald Trump claimed that most Mexican illegals were rapists, thieves and drug dealers, actor Charlie Sheen (real name Carlos Estevez) dismissed him on Twitter as “a shame pile of idiocy” and “a sack of cat farts.”

Obviously, Sheen wasn’t the only celebrity to react negatively to Trump’s comments, but he did it in the most #winning way, worthy of the one and only Masheen Warlock.

Well, it seems that even Warlocks can change their mind.

Sheen wants to be Trump’s VP

In a new tweet, Charlie Sheen is now actually reaching out to Donald Trump with a very interesting proposition: if he has him as his Vice President when he becomes President, he would be honored to work by his side.

Sheen is no stranger to politics, at least in the sense of talking a big game. Some months ago, he casually said in an interview that he was thinking of running for President of the United States. In fact, he was certain he’d win if he ran, because he’d be the kind of guy that America needed: direct, honest, determined to work and committed to not BS-ing his people.

Something happened to make him change his mind about running, but it’s never too late to go into politics. And Trump would be the guy to do it with, as Sheen makes it clear with his new tweet.

America has Owen Wilson to thank for this

The comment Owen Wilson made and Sheen believes was taken out of context is from a recent interview with The Daily Beast.

Speaking of the Presidential candidates, Wilson compared Trump to Sheen, saying he was the Charlie Sheen of politics. Everyone took it to mean that he was saying Trump was a trainwreck, but a very entertaining one to watch - much like Sheen was during his 2011 much publicized meltdown.

Sheen clearly took Wilson’s comment as a flattering one, and he might not be completely off the mark either. It seems that, while he wasn’t exactly voicing his support for Trump, Wilson was crediting him for being himself, which resonated with Americans because it was something that didn’t happen with most politicians.

“You can't help but get a kick out of [Trump], and I think part of it is we're so used to politicians on both sides sounding like actors at press junkets - it's sort of by rote, and they say all the right things,” Wilson also said. “So here's somebody who's not following that script. It's like when Charlie Sheen was doing that stuff - like, wow! He's answering a question completely honestly, and in an entertaining way.”
