Chakra GNU/Linux developer Neofytos Kolokotronis has announced today, July 25, 2016, the release of the latest KDE and Qt technologies, along with new software versions in the main repositories of the Linux kernel-based operating system.

Following a half-rolling release model and using some of the best Arch Linux technologies, Chakra GNU/Linux focuses on delivering the newest KDE software releases to its user base. Therefore, today we would like to inform our readers using Chakra GNU/Linux that they have received new goodies.

Mr. Kolokotronis and his team of skillful developers have managed to once again bring out the latest KDE Plasma desktop environment. "The latest updates for KDE's Plasma, Applications and Frameworks series are now available to all Chakra users, all of which have been built against the brand new Qt 5.7.0," says Neofytos Kolokotronis in today's announcement. "It should be safe to answer yes to any replacement question by Pacman. [...] Most of our mirrors take 12-24h to synchronize, after which it should be safe to upgrade."

Wine 1.9.15, Calibre 2.63.0, and Samba 4.3.11 are also available
