Huawei has introduced quite a few products at CES 2016 trade fair, and the GX8 is one of the smartphones that should make a debut soon.

We've already reported about Huawei Honor 5X that's been released in the United States. The Mate 8 is another Huawei Android device that will be launched in the US this year, and so is the GX8.

According to Huawei, the GX8 will be available for purchase in the United States sometime in Q1 for only $350 outright. Customers will be able to get this one from Huawei's official retail channels, but it will also be available on Amazon.

The GX8 was launched back in September at IFA 2015, but the Chinese company has not confirmed a US release until today. The mid-range smartphone offers more than decent specs for the price, and it would have been a pity for Android fans in the US not to be able to get one.

US version comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory

Huawei GX8 ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, but Huawei has already confirmed that the handset will receive a Marshmallow update at some point.

Hardware-wise, the GX8 packs a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor inside paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

Another strong point of the Huawei GX8 is the 13-megapixel photo snapper that features autofocus, dual-LED flash, OIS (optical image stabilization), and video recording. There's also a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

The Huawei GX8 sports a large 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. It also offers multiple connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0, and GPS with AGPS support.

Last but not least, the GX8 is powered by a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery that should provide a few days of continuous usage.
