14 DAY TRIAL // Huawei's latest flagship smartphone, the Mate 8, was officially unveiled in China last year, but it's not available for purchase in any other country.
The good news is Huawei announced during its CES 2016 conference that Mate 8 would be rolled out globally in the coming months.
The first wave of countries to receive the high-end phablet has been confirmed by Huawei, and as many of you will most likely notice, it doesn't include the United States.
Huawei Mate 8 will first be available in countries across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast China, South Africa and Latin America.
Here is the full list of countries that will be the first to get the Huawei Mate 8: Australia, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar (Burma), Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, and the UAE.
Unfortunately, no exact release dates have been mentioned by Huawei. Luckily, the Chinese company confirmed the prices for its top-of-the-line smartphone, and as you'll see, it doesn't come cheap at all.
The phablet will still arrive in the US, but slightly later
Huawei Mate 8 will be available in two versions: 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, as well as 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The cheaper of the two will cost €600 while the 4GB RAM model will be available for purchase for €700.
It's also worth mentioning that the metal-clad Huawei Mate 8 will be launched in four color variations: champagne gold, mocha brown, moonlight silver, and space gray.
In the same piece of news, Huawei announced earlier today that the Honor 5X is now available for purchase in the United States.
Along with the Honor 5X, the Chinese company was rumored to bring the Mate 8 as well, so we expect the phablet to arrive in the US by the end of this year.
