Alcatel OneTouch has already announced several products at CES 2016 trade fair, including some Android smartphones and a Windows 10 Mobile tablet.

This time, the Chinese company unveiled the long-awaited Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL, which leaked for the first time a few months ago.

The OneTouch Fierce XL will be available in the United States in the coming weeks, but customers will only be able to get it from T-Mobile, at least for a while.

There's no official word on pricing yet, but the OneTouch Fierce XL is an entry-level smartphone so it will most likely cost less than $150.

Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL will directly compete with Microsoft's Lumia 550 affordable smartphone that has been recently launched in the United States.

Both smartphones ship with Windows 10 Mobile operating system right out of the box, but Alcatel's affordable handset seems to be a bit more powerful hardware-wise.

T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling and VoLTE support included

First of all, the OneTouch Fierce XL comes equipped with a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor inside, coupled with an Adreno 304 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The Lumia 550 has the same chipset inside, but only 1GB of RAM. When it comes to storage, Alcatel's smartphone packs 16GB internal memory while Lumia 550 has just 8GB. Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL includes microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Also, the phablet sports a larger 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. There's also an 8-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording.

A secondary 2-megapixel camera in the front is available as well. Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL features 4G LTE support, as well as VoLTE (voice over LTE), and T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling compatibility.

Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery, which should provide up to 14 hours of talk time or up to 34 days of standby time.
