The first tech show from each year, CES is just around the corner. However, that doesn't prevent companies from announcing new smartphones and tablets that will be showcased at the trade fair.

Alcatel is one of the first to unveil its new Pixi 4 lineup of products, which consists of three smartphones and one tablet for the time being.

The OneTouch Pixi 4 family includes a 3.5-inch, a 4-inch, and a 6-inch smartphone, as well as a 7-inch tablet, AndroidHeadlines reports.

According to Alcatel, these are “premium entry-level devices,” but little is known about their technical specifications.

The good news is we're just a few days away from CES 2016 opening, so we expect more details on the new OneTouch Pixi 4 lineup will be unveiled by Alcatel next week.

In the same piece of news, Alcatel plans to introduce a new Pixi 3 tablet powered by Windows 10, but more details on that should be available in the coming days.

CareTime Children's Watch

Last but not least, Alcatel announced a smartwatch for kids. Dubbed CareTime Children's Watch, the smartwatch will be showcased at CES 2016 beginning next week.

Specs-wise, the smartwatch has been confirmed to pack EDGE support. Parents will be able to send voice messages to their children's smartwatch, but they will also be able to call them whenever they want.

The smartwatch allows children to call up to 5 registered numbers, but they will also be able to reply to 10 predefined contacts. The CareTime Children's Watch comes with built-in GPS, which is meant to provide parents with real-time information on their children whereabouts.

Moreover, one of the apps included on the smartwatch can notify parents when their children leave a safe zone that can be pre-set.

More information about Alcatel's newly announced products will be available in the coming days, so stay tuned for additional details.
