"Ultraportable" seems to be just about the most popular design concept in electronics nowadays, probably due to the fact that users tend to spend a lot more time on the road and require small and lightweight devices, which they can carry around just about everywhere they might go. And that's exactly the case with the latest announcement from cenOmax, a Lite-On IT brand specialized in the development of digital photo frames.

The F350, as this particular model has been dubbed, is a compact and portable (3.03 x 3.4 x 0.51 inches at a weight of less than 0.25 lbs.) digital photo frame that allows users an alternative way to view their favorite digital photos even while traveling. The gadget has a very fashionable external design, but also quite an interesting set of specs, which we'll explain as follows.

The display is, quite obviously, the centerpiece of any digital photo frame, so it's no wonder that the people over at Lite-On IT (which have an extensive experience in the field of LCD displays) have equipped the new F350 with a 3.5-inch panel, providing a 320 x 240 pixel resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio. Other important specs include the rather OK brightness level (350 cd/m2), the 400:1 contrast ratio, as well as the 65/65 and 50/60 degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles.

The device also offers numerous connectivity options, including here a USB 2.0 interface (to connect to a computer), as well as a built-in memory card reader that works with some of the most popular card formats around, namely SD, SDHC and MMC. Additionally, the F350 sports enough storage space for around 45 digital photos, all saved in JPEG format.

The best thing about the F350 is that it will be available at a fairly OK price tag. Thus, the digital photo frame will hit the shelves at some point in June 2008 at a MSRP of 45 Euros, which will most likely make it pretty attractive for a wide range of consumers.
