Gamers will have to explore the new Toussaint area

The development team at CD Projekt RED might not be ready to offer a clear launch date for the final Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but the studio is finally adding a few details about the content included, saying that it will be as big as all the islands of Skellige combined and will be offered to players before the E3 2016 event.

According to an interview translated by a Reddit user, the company is still making a final set of changes to the coming content, although it's unclear whether this means there are major tweaks to how Geralt moves or fights or not.

The Skellige reference means that there's quite a lot of ground to cover in Toussaint, the area that will be part of the Wine and Blood expansion, and gamers will also get access to an all-new Gwent deck, designed to offer fans of the game, even more, ways to beat their opponents.

The interview also reveals that CD Projekt RED is exploring the possibility of creating and launching a Game of the Year version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that will include all the patches that have tweaked gameplay and the two expansions.

Such a move would make sense given how many GOTY awards the game picked up and the many gameplay improvements that have been introduced since launch.

The Witcher is no longer the focus for the studio

Despite the fact that Wild Hunt is one of the most successful titles of last year the team is only focusing on it until it delivers Blood and Wine and makes sure that it offers the experience fans are looking for.

CD Projekt RED has no plans to introduce remastered versions of the first two titles in the series or to create a special package for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 that features all the three titles and their associated extra content.

According to the studio, the plan is to focus on the development of Cyberpunk 2077, which should create entirely new standards for the video game industry and will require an entirely new set of tools to be created.

CD Projekt RED has offered no clear details about the title so far and says that it will take its time when it comes to the development process, trying to emulate Rockstar when it comes to attention to detail and concern for the expectations of the player base.
